What to Bring to Your Road Test

Step 1: Bring These Basics (Everyone Needs This)

  • A copy of your car insurance

  • All required printed documents

  • A valid learner's permit

Step 2: Bring Extra Items Based on Your Age

If you're 25 or older:

  • Texas driver's license with a "B" restriction

  • Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Certificate

If you're 18-24:

  • Texas driver's license with a "B" restriction

  • Adult Driver Education (ADE) Course Certificate

  • Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Certificate

If you're under 18:

  • Texas learner's permit

  • Parent or guardian with a valid license

  • Teen Driver Education Certificate (DE-964) or parent-taught version

  • VOE (Verification of Enrollment) form from your high school

  • Impact Texas Teen Drivers (ITTD) Certificate

  • Completed 30-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Log

Step 3: After You Pass

  • You'll receive a sealed envelope - DO NOT OPEN IT!!
